MyAstro Astrology service provides you accurate and trusted predictions on your life, which are different to the traditional “Star Sign” based astrology readings that are currently widely available in Newspapers, TV, Radio etc.

Who is eligible?

This service is available for all Citylink customers via SMS. Subscribers will receive predictions in either Singlish or English, depending on their preference.

  • Registration
  • To register for any Astrology service package/s, initially please dial 1211 from the SLT Citylink phone.
  • Send an SMS to short code 1211 with the chosen package name and your name as shown in User Manual guidelines.
  • Once you are eligible for the service, you will receive an acknowledgment SMS (reply SMS) informing of acceptance of your registration & PIN.
  • Follow the instructions and enter the personal data such as Birth Date, Birth Time and Birth Place.
  • You will then receive an SMS confirmation of service registration.

 

  • Service features
  • Astrology predictions will be sent to you in the morning.
  • You can receive astrology prediction SMS in either Singlish or English.
  • Any number of customers can be registered from a single phone number and each will receive a specific PIN number for his/her name. Then each user will be able to identify their own prediction/s in their own names. Therefore we advise users to not use the same name to register from one phone.
  • Once a user has registered for "Suba", other users who have registered for MyAstro can enjoy "Suba" predictions from the same phone, since Suba predictions are common to all. eg: Rahu kalaya
  • If the connection is postpaid, total service charges for the Citylink phone will be added to the owner's bill. For prepaid users it will be deducted from the prepaid account.

  • Whenever you get a NEW PIN, you will be considered a registered customer (create profile) and rental will be deducted/ added for prepaid and postpaid customers respectively according to the package chosen.
  • If you register for the service before 8.00 p.m. of the given date, you will be able to receive predictions from the following day morning.
  • If registrations are done after 8.00 p.m. of the given date, you will be able to receive SMS predictions after one day.
  • Service termination/ renewal can be done once every billing month, upon your request.
  • All above charges are exclusive of taxes.
1. What is MyAstro ?

An Astrology service that provides astrological forecasts to SLT and Mobitel customers.

2. How does it differ from prevailing Astrology prediction services provided by newspapers and other telecom operators?

MyAstro Astrology service is completely different from the traditional “Star Sign” based readings which are available on newspapers, TV, radio etc.

MyAstro Astrology service develops astrological readings based on Birth Date, Birth Time and Birth Place of each and every customer.

You will be given astrology predictions by an Astrology Specialist, Deshabandu Sumanadasa Abeygunawardana, an adviser to H.E. the President of Sri Lanka.

3. Is this service provided to all SLT users?

Astrology service is now provided only to CDMA post paid and pre paid customers via SMS, but very soon, SLT Megaline customers (fixed line users) can also get this service via IVR.

4. What kind of Astrology service / contents can I get from this service?

There are 03 services (packages) available. You can choose any of the following packages as your preference.

However, please note that you have to subscribe to the ‘Horoscope Service & Special Announcements’ service to become eligible for the Numerology (Nume) service. Hence you have to register in MyAstro service initially in order to subscribe to the Nume service. This rule does not apply to the Suba service.

5. At what time can I get these astrology predictions?

You will get astrology predictions every morning irrespective of the package you have subscribed to.

6. What should I do to get this service?

You should be an SLT Citylink (CDMA) Postpaid or Prepaid customer to be eligible for these services. Also, if you are a prepaid customer, your account or Citylink card balance should have an adequate credit balance to subscribe to the service.

7. As a prepaid customer, what does it mean by the adequate credit balance in my account?

Your prepaid account / Citylink card balance should be enough to deduct the monthly rental charge.

8. How can I register for this service?

Following steps will get you registered for this service.

Step: 01

To register for any service package, initially you have to dial 1312. Then listen to the voice prompts and follow the instructions.

Then send an SMS to short code 1312 with the chosen package name and your name as below.

Step: 02

If you are an eligible customer for this service SLT will send an acknowledgement SMS (reply SMS) accepting your registration & your PIN. (From this moment on you are considered as a registered customer for the Astrology package that you have chosen)

MyAstro service. Please dial 1312 to enter your details now. Your PIN is XXXX.”

Reply SMS: “Dear <NAME>..! Thank you for initiating registration with Numerology.

Reply SMS: “Dear <NAME>..! Thank you for initiating registration with Panchanga.

 

Step: 03

When you dial 1312 short code, follow the instructions given by the voice prompt and enter your personal data such as Birth Date, Birth Time and Birth Place. There is also an option to select your preferred language as English or Sinhala.

 

Step: 04

You will receive an incoming call from SLT to re-confirm the information you entered. Also you will get an acknowledgement SMS with all the information you have entered.

Time xxxx, place xxxx. You will receive your daily Astro soon.

9. Can I get my preferred language for this service?

Yes, you can get astrology prediction SMS in either Singlish or English.

10. If the information I have given is incorrect, can I have the chance to re-correct them?

Yes, you can correct your information by either dialing 1312 or sending an SMS to 1312, and editing your entries as Birth Date / Time / Place. The facility to edit your name will be introduced soon.

11.Can I subscribe to more than one service package?

Yes, you can but if you want a Numerology service, it is mandatory to register with the

Horoscope Service & Special Announcements.

12. Can my family members also get astrology predictions from the same Citylink CDMA phone?

Yes, you can, since you can register to these services in your own name and you will receive your own specific PIN number. SLT will send Astrology SMS with your name. Then you can identify your own prediction/s in your own name.

 

For Panchanga service however, (Suba) predictions will be sent to all subscribers commonly. Therefore when a user registers with the “Suba” in his/her phone, all other people who have access to use the same phone and who have registered with the MyAstro can use Suba predictions.

 

If you are a postpaid customer, total service charges will be added to your bill. For prepaid customers, it will be deducted from your account.

 

Also if you use the same name again, (duplicate) you will be rejected from registering the service.

13. Can I get the SMS astrology predictions from any other SLT Citylink phones by using my PIN number?

No, you can’t. You will only get your astrology predictions from the phone you have registered for the astrology service.

14. What are the charges applicable for this service?

*Monthly rental charge will be applied whenever you get the confirmation SMS with your PIN.

15. If I do not use the PIN even after receiving it, will SLT deduct the rental charges from my account?

Yes, rental will be charged as SLT issues the PIN number for registering you for the Astrology service.

 

Hence if you are a Citylink Postpaid customer ,your chosen package rental will be added to your postpaid bill and for a prepaid customer, rental will be deducted from your account balance, whenever you get the PIN.

16.Is there any time limitation to dial and enter my data on 1312 IVR?

No.

17.Do I need to register (by sending SMS to 1312) and enter my details (by dial 1312) every month?

No. Once you have registered and received the PIN, you will get astrology readings (by SMS) as per the package chosen.

18.How does this service get terminated?

(a)Service will be terminated only on your (customer) request.

(b)You will get the service until your Citylink account is in active status.

 

(c)Under the following status of your SLT Citylink connection (CDMA phone) SLT will terminate your astrology service.

  • TOS status (Temporarily barred incoming & outgoing calls)
  • Phone is deactivated
  • Phone is black listed

19.Can I re-register or disconnect the service at any time?

No. The service is activated / deactivated (on your request) once every billing month

20.Can I re-register and can I get my previous PIN number?

You can only re-register the service within 30 days under the following conditions:

 

If your connection is in incoming & outgoing bar status (TOS status-Temporarily out of service) and when you activate your account within 30 days, service will be auto-renewed by SLT. Then you can use your previous PIN.

 

However, if SLT un-registers the account on your request and you wish to re-register the service within 30 days, you have to send an SMS to short code 1312 and register as demonstrated below. Then you will get the previous PIN. However, this can only be done once per billing month.

If you have exceeded 30 days from your service termination, you have to register as a new customer and get a new PIN.

21.If I forgot my PIN number how do I get it? Can I get the same PIN number?

No, you will get a new PIN number. You have to send an SMS to 1312 with

22.If my account is in TOS status (incoming and outgoing bar status), how will SLT charge rental for the Astrology service? Can I continue the Astrology Service?

Whether you are a postpaid customer or prepaid customer you will be charged the monthly rental according to the package/packages chosen.

 

SLT Citylink Prepaid Customers Only

23.Just after one month has ended, for the next billing month my prepaid account balance is not enough for deducting the monthly rental; will my astrology service get deactivated?

  • No, even if a prepaid customer does not have enough balance at the time of balance (rental) deduction; the service will be in active stage for 7 days.
  • However SMS predictions will not be sent to you until the monthly subscription is paid.
  • After 7 days, if the balance is still not sufficient to deduct the subscription (rental) you will be un-subscribed from the service.
  • Then you have  to register as a new customer

24.The credit of my prepaid account is finished but SLT provides incoming facility for 14 days, do I get the Astrology prediction via SMS during that time period?

  • Yes, you can get the Astrology prediction via SMS during the 14 days.
  • However, to continue the service you have to reload your account sufficiently for SLT to be able to charge the rental.
