Kalawewa Muslim central college was one of the schools where “Web spinners unite” held its
seminars on Internet and it’s applications. Two seminars were organized at the school, one for
teachers and the other for students.

Both the seminars were organized by the school & the seminar held for the students, were
done with the attendance of over 200 students, while around 40 no of teachers led by the
principal were attended to the other seminar who were really interested on the subject. These
were basically meant to aware them on basics of Internet & it’s applications such as World Wide
Web, email, e-learning, e-commerce etc….

As an authorized body in Sri Lanka, SLT always welcome this kind of educational programs to
be held effectively, specially in rural areas, where the latest technology is rarely touched but
the people are very keen on the subject.

Manager / Internet Marketing – Mr. M.A.M.R.Anver & Asst. Manager Mr. Vijitha Bandara of
Internet Marketing section of SLT conducted the seminar & came to a real success with the
co – operation of Mr. H.A.Satharasingha, Regional Manager / Sales of SLT and, the Teacher in
charge / IT of Kalawewa Muslim central college.
