How do I use the Online Call Waiting Service?


Pre-requirements

  • You should subscribe for Online Call Waiting facility from any Teleshop or any SLT sales
    outlet.
  • Your telephone line should have the Call forwarding facility.
  • You should have minimum of Windows 2000 or Windows XP with minimum of service pack
    1 installed on your PC to install the “SLTNet OCW Phone”.
  • Your must have a microphone and headphone or speaker installed on your PC.

Step-by-step procedure

  • Activate call forwarding facility to your telephone line
    The no you should use to activate call forwarding to your Telephone line is 0112-466022
    when you are going to access SLTNet dial up Internet service.
    Activation

    If you are in Colombo Metropolitan area  Dial *92* 2466022 #
    If you are in an out – station    Dial *92* 0112466022 #

  • Login to the SLTNet dial up Internet.
  • Register with OCW service to receive all incoming calls.
  • Once you log out from SLTNet dial up connection, make sure to deactivate call forwarding
    facility.

How do I register with OCW service?

  • Open the “SLTNet OCW Phone”.
  • Go to “File” menu and Click “Log On”.
  • You will get a dialog box to enter your user name.
  • Type your user name and Click “OK”.
    This user name should be your 10-digit telephone number. Be sure that you entered
    the telephone number with area code. Eg. 0112441123)
  • You will get another dialog box to enter your password.
  • Enter the password and Click “OK”.

You have now registered to the service. You can see “Logged on (Your User Name)” on
SLTNet OCW Phone status bar.

How can I access my voice mail?

You have three methods to access your voicemail box.

  1. Email Notification
    Each time you receive a voicemail, you will get an email with voice message as an
    attachment.
  2. Voice Mail Web interface.
    You can go to “Tools” menu and Click “Check your Voicemail”. You will be directed
    to http://ocw.slt.lk/ (or you can directly type http://ocw.slt.lk/ on your browser)

     

    Type your username (Ten digit telephone number) and password to login to the system.

    Note: Please be sure to select and save “Uncompressed WAV” format if you prompted to save your “Preferred Audio Format”.




  3. SLTNet OCW Phone
    Dial 8500 and follow the instructions.


How do I tune my Speakers and Microphone?
You can go to the “Tuning Wizard” on “Tools” menu and follow the instructions.

How Can I ignore all incoming calls for a desired period of time (DND Mode)?
You can simply click and unclick the DND option box.
